Rooted in Culture, Built With Purpose

Rooted in Culture, Built With Purpose

Founded in 2013, this Hawaiian restaurant was created to share Polynesian food traditions with the St. George community. What began as a local eatery grew into something deeper—food as a way to connect people, preserve culture, and create opportunity. From day one, the focus has stayed clear: serve familiar island dishes, welcome every guest with respect, and build something meaningful that lasts beyond the table.

The restaurant operates under New Beginnings Academy, a nonprofit formed to support at-risk youth and young adults. As part of an on-the-job training program, participants learn kitchen skills, restaurant basics, and Polynesian cooking traditions. The goal is simple and powerful: provide structure, real experience, and confidence while serving food that brings the community together in a positive way.

More Than a Meal, It’s a Mission

More Than a Meal, It’s a Mission

What sets this restaurant apart is its role in giving back. Select days are dedicated to serving the community and supporting those in need. Saturdays focus on youth fundraising, helping students earn support for sports and school programs. Every plate served helps teach responsibility, teamwork, and pride—making each visit a small part of something bigger than just dining.
